Dixie Theatre Presents Pearls for the King Sept. 30 - Oct. 1
Todd Alan Herendeen will return to the Dixie Theatre with his Follow That Dream Band September 30 and October 1 for a unique program that will feature  "PEARLS" aka Apalachicola Bay Oysters during this event. Click here for details.  

Ghost Trackers Weekend Sept 30 - Oct. 2
The Big Bend Ghost Trackers will host a Ghostly Encounter Educational weekend of frightening fun at the Coombs House Inn Sept 30 - Oct. 2. Participants will learn how to sharpen their Psychic Senses and learn about "ghosts." Click here for details.
 
Chamber Golf Tourney Next Wednesday, Oct. 5
Tee up with business members from around the Franklin, Gulf, Leon and Wakulla County areas at the 8th annual Apalachicola Bay Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament on Wednesday, October 5, 2011. Tee-time is 1:00 pm on the beautiful St James Bay Golf Course east of Carrabelle. Well-known golf course designer Robert Walker created this perfectly manicured 18-hole championship course that creates a challenge for even the most skillful golfer, yet is still a course golfers of all abilities will love. SGI Hosts Oyster Festival Oct 7-9
Mark your calendar to attend St. George Island's Oyster Festival Columbus Day weekend Oct. 7-9. This three day festival highlights the county's seafood heritage, particularly the Apalachicola Bay oyster. There will be displays, contests, demonstrations and of course seafood. The event, which will include some Eastpoint activities, will also feature music, a fishing tournament and a 5K run.  Visitors may also climb the Cape St. George Lighthouse, browse the new Lighthouse Museum in the Keeper's Cottage, and visit the new Apalachicola National Estuarine Research Reserve (ANERR) Visitor Center in Eastpoint.
