Governor Scott names new Wakulla County sheriff
Wakulla County has a new sheriff.
Governor Rick Scott on Tuesday named Donnie Crum to the post.
Mister Crum lives in Panacea.
He has been the chief deputy at the Wakulla County Sheriff’s Office since 1988.
Previously, he was a special agent for the Florida Department of Law Enforcement from 1985 to 1988.
It won’t be his first stint as sheriff in Wakulla County.
From November 2008 to January 2009, Crum also served as interim sheriff.
He succeeds Sheriff David Harvey who is retiring from the post on October the 1st to become Executive Director for the Florida Sheriff’s Risk Management Fund.
Mister Crum’s term will end on January 7th, 2013.
