Havana, FL –Recreation on a
recently-acquired tract along the Apalachicola River near Bristol will be the focus of
a public meeting hosted by the Northwest Florida Water Management
District. Participants are invited to
offer ideas on Tuesday, October 11, 6 p.m. at the Veterans Memorial Civic Center, 10405 NW Theo Jacobs
Lane in Bristol.



In the interim, during the 2011-2012 hunting
season, small game hunting will be allowed on the tract during the statewide
small game season. Holders of a wildlife
management area permit and hunting license may participate in this initial
season. FWC representatives will
attend the meeting to discuss proposed hunting regulations.
