Franklin County Toy Project needs money and volunteers

The Franklin County Toy Project is looking for more help.

The group provides toys for needy children at Christmas but need some help to meet its goal.

The group has sent out a plea saying it is running under budget as they have collected less than 5000 dollars this year.

Without more funds the group won’t be able to take care of all of the kids who have signed up for toys.

To make a donation or to find out other ways you can help, call 653-3930.

The group does need volunteers for toy bagging which begins on December the 12th and for distributing the toys on December the 15th.

Distribution sites include the Eastpoint fire house, the Carrabelle fire house, and the Apalachicola Community Service Center.

The number again to call to make a donation or to volunteer is 653-3930.
