Apalachicola P and Z to discuss Scipio Creek project on Monday

If you would like to see some of the big plans the City of Apalachicola has for Scipio Creek come out to the community center on Monday afternoon.

The Apalachicola Planning and Zoning Board and the Scipio Creek Advisory Committee will host an informational workshop on the Scipio Creek Boat Basin Design at 6 o’clock on Monday, January 9th

The city will have Architectural illustrations on display for public review and board input.

The city has some pretty big plans for the marina that include building a boat repair yard with an indoor repair facility, an open air market and an ice house facility at the site.         

The City of Apalachicola has received a nearly 2 million dollar grant to revamp the Boat Basin.

The total project is expected to create up to 44 new jobs.
