Long-time Franklin County Sheriff Jack Taylor passes away at 80


Long time Franklin County sheriff Jack Taylor Jr. passed away over the weekend.
He passed away Sunday in Carrabelle; he was 80 years old.
Jack Taylor was Franklin County Sheriff from 1969 to 1989.
Jack Taylor is survived by his wife, Cynthia, and five children.
His funeral is Wednesday at 11 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Apalachicola.

Hello. My name is Jeanette Connell. I am the granddaughter of the late Sheriff Jack Taylor, Jr of Franklin County Florida. On behalf of my mother Marilyn Walker and Grandmother Jeanette Taylor I wanted to thank Oyster Radio, The Franklin County Sheriffs Office, Franklin County residents, and all the the sheriffs for their support in the time of his passing. He would have been honored and humbled at the turn out of all the law enforcement. Again I thank you again and was honored that everyone though highly of my Pee Paw!!

I am the granddaughter of my grandfather ( jack taylor jr). I have known him all my life and saw him every summer. I saw him and loved him with all my heart. I want to thank you for doing this he meant the world to me. I loved him and still love him. He was the kindest man and Jenny Connell is not his grandchild (nice try)

Jenny Connell is not jack taylors grandchild I am. I would like to say thank you so much for caring for him. It means a lot to me. I was at that funeral and anyone who was their would have seen me. My bothers and I put the book and the cross on the casket and the taylors did not seem to stay after m grandfathers funeral
