County asks for water fountains at sports parks

            County commissioners are looking at the possibility of installing water fountains at three local sports parks.

Commissioner Cheryl Sanders asked that the Parks and Recreation department install a water fountain at the Will Kendrick Sports Complex in Carrabelle.

She said she would like to see at least one installed along the walking path around the park, though she would not be opposed to more if they are needed.

Other commissioners said they feel that would be a nice amenity for all of the local sports parks – not just around the walking paths but possibly near the playing fields too.

Parks and recreation Department chief Van Johnson said he will look into it but doesn’t feel it should be too difficult to do.
