The
Gulf County Health Department will be conducting a FREE Rabies Vaccination
Clinic for cats and dogs at the Honeyville Community Center on Saturday from
9:00-1:00 eastern time.
The health department issued
a rabies alert on April 6th, after they received confirmation
that a second raccoon, found in Northern
Wewahitchka tested positive for rabies.
All dogs and cats over 4 months of
age must be vaccinated for rabies by a licensed veterinarian.
If you plan to take part in the free
vaccination on Saturday they do ask that animals be at least four months old
and if possible, please bring proof of most recent rabies vaccination.
For you and your pet’s safety they
ask that you keep your pet in a carrier or on a leash and that the pet stay in
your vehicle until instructed.
That FREE Rabies Vaccination
Clinic for cats and dogs is again at the Honeyville Community Center on Saturday from 9:00-1:00 eastern time.
For questions, contact the Gulf
County Health Department at 227-1276.
