Local public speaking champs to speak at County Commission meeting

Two of Franklin County’s best young public speakers will show their skills at a Franklin County Commission meeting in June.

The county has invited the 5th and 6th grade winners of the local Tropicana Public Speaking contest to give their winning speeches before the county commission at the June 18th meeting.

The winners were Franklin county school 5th grader Bayla Walker for her speech on cyber bullying and Apalachicola Bay School 6th grader Faith Sapp for her speech about grey wolves.

Commission chairman Pinki Jackel said she thinks the experience will be nice for the students and she knows the board would like to hear from the young people.
