Tyndall AFB wants to end cell phone use while driving

Tyndall Air Force Base is cracking down on people who use their cell phones or other electronic devices while driving.

The base just launched its “You Talk, You Walk…Hands-Free Devices Only While Driving” campaign in efforts to eliminate cell phone usage while driving on the base.

People who are caught using their cell phones without a hands-free device on-base will be
cited and won’t be able to drive on the base for seven days.

Second time offenders will be cited lose their base driving privileges for 30 days.

The campaign is for people driving on the base itself and not for those on Highway 98 driving through the installations.
