Red Cross seeks donations for Debby response

Tropical Storm Debby may be long gone, but there are still people suffering through the impacts of the storm.

The American Red Cross Capital Area Chapter is continuing to provide disaster relief in Wakulla County.

As of Wednesday the group had provided over 17thousand Meals and Snacks, over 1500 comfort kits and 224 clean up kits, and nearly 1300 bulk items like tarps and bags.

4 Red Cross Emergency Response Vehicles are in Wakulla county daily distributing food and supplies.

The red Cross is also helping storm survivors with medical and Mental Health Services and with referrals to community resources and casework.

If you would like to make a donation to help the Red Cross continue its Tropical Storm Debby response, The Capital Area Chapter is accepting donations on their website: www.tallyredcross.org.

Contributions may also be sent to your local Red Cross Chapter, 1115 Easterwood Drive, Tallahassee, FL 32311.

You can even call 1-800-RED-CROSS to make a one-time $10 donation that will appear on your phone bill.
