Flags at Half-Mast for United States Ambassador to Libya, John Christopher Stevens

RE:                  Flags at Half-Staff

            Pursuant to the President’s Proclamation to lower our national flag as a mark of respect for the memory of United States Ambassador to Libya, John Christopher Stevens, and the American personnel killed in Benghazi, Libya, I hereby direct the flags of the United States of America and the State of Florida to be flown at half-staff at all local and state buildings, installations, and grounds throughout the State of Florida.  The National and State flags shall be lowered immediately and remain at half-staff until the expiration of the President’s national directive at sunset on September 16, 2012.
