Legal Services of North Florida and The North Florida Center For Equal Justice can provide assistance to BP victims

Legal Services of North Florida and The North Florida Center For Equal Justice have been awarded money to help victims of the BP oil spill throughout the state of Florida, including the Florida Panhandle and the Gulf Coast.

The groups can provide assistance in filing claims under the Court Supervised Settlement Program in the national class action.

The claims process is often confusing and complex, including multiple types of claims, some of which were not compensated in prior claims processes.

Types of claims include small business losses, damages related to ownership or rental of property, and medical claims.

Project attorneys will assist with the settlement claims process, including explaining the documentation needed, and reviewing settlement offers.

They will even represent some claimants in some cases.

And all of the work will be done with no attorney’s fees.

There is a toll free number available for more information or to get assistance.

That number is 855-299-1337. That’s 855-299-1337.
