For the last three years your Chamber has initiated a food drive to help local families in need, and through your generosity over 1,000 pounds of food was donated to local food pantries last year. This time around, we are asking you to consider supporting the Wakulla County Empty Bowls Food Project. Please see the below information, and consider sponsoring a bowl to be painted, buying a ticket to the event, or a raffle ticket, to raise funds for Wakulla County food pantries.
As members of the Wakulla community, everybody has a vested interest in ensuring there’s enough food to feed our hungry. In fact, the issue of hunger in Wakulla has been such concern that the Wakulla News has dedicated extensively coverage to this matter in recent publications.

Helping to feed people in need!
Empty Bowls is an international grassroots effort to fight hunger. The basic premise is simple: Potters and other craftspeople, educators and others work with the community to create handcrafted bowls. Guests are invited to a simple meal of soup and bread. In exchange for a cash donation, guests are asked to keep a bowl as a reminder of all the empty bowls in the world, and right here in Wakulla County. The money raised is used to buy food for the area’s food pantries.
Wakulla’s Empty Bowl will be produced with a high level of integrity; artists, more…Empty Bowl flyer
