Now is your chance to own a piece of bird paradise

If you have ever dreamed of owning a small part of a small island, here’s your chance.

The last remaining private tract on Lanark Reef is up for sale.

The island is an important waterbird nesting site and home to a number of species including Brown Pelicans, American Oystercatchers, Black Skimmers, Reddish Egrets, Red Knots and Piping Plovers.

Audubon Florida is looking to enlist 136 people to each adopt a 10-square meter piece of the island, making it a bird sanctuary and taking away any threat of development.

The cost to adopt a 10-square meter piece of Lanark Reef is only 100 dollars.
