On Tuesday the board accepted the recommendation of the
hospital advisory board and voted unanimously to hire 58 year old Ray
Brownsworth for the job.
Mister Brownsworth was one of 34 people who applied for the
job.
He comes to Franklin
county from Sigourney , Iowa
where he served as CEO of the Keokuk County
Health center since 2007.
Mister Brownsworth will fill the spot left vacant by Davie
Lloyd who left the hospital in late 2011.
Since that time the position was filled by interim CEO Cindy
Drapel.
Hospital Advisory board chairperson Tammy Hardy said it was
an arduous process, but she believes the board made a good selection in Mister
Brownsworth.
The new CEO will start work on October the 8th.
