Expedition Florida 500 coming to Carrabelle Beach

Expedition Florida 500 will be at Carrabelle Beach on Wednesday for a coastal cleanup event and to publicize its year-long trek around Florida’s coastline and inland waterways.
2013 is Florida's 500th anniversary since Ponce de Leon landed on Florida’s coastline; in celebration of the anniversary.
Expedition Florida 500 is a way to celebrate that anniversary.
It’s a combined effort of the group Mother Ocean along with Viva Florida 500, the Florida Department of State, the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, and various other organizations.
Justin Riney, from the group Mother Ocean, is leading the movement for the entire 365 days.
He will be in Carrabelle on Wednesday afternoon for a coastal cleanup at Carrabelle Beach from 3 till 5 PM.
The public are invited to join Riney in the effort and then take part in a Meet and Greet at 2 Al’s restaurant from 5:30 to 7.
