Design phase begins for Alligator Point bike path

Franklin County commissioners last week signed an agreement with the Florida Department of Transportation to begin the design phase of a new multi-use path in Alligator Point.

The proposed path would reach from Alligator Point Marina to Gulf Shore Boulevard.

It will cost a little over 122 thousand dollars to design the path.

It will still be a number of years before money is available to actually build the path.
