Fast named Major of FHP Troop A

The Florida Highway Patrol Troop A which covers 10 counties including Gulf County is getting some new leadership.

The Florida Highway Patrol has promoted Warren Fast to major and assigned him to lead field operations in the Florida Panhandle, effective February 8th.

Fast began his career with the FHP in 1994 as a duty officer and then a duty officer supervisor in Miami. 

He was promoted to corporal in 1999 and to sergeant in 2001. 

His most recent job was captain in the Southern Region Special Response Team in Broward County.
