Chipman attends final county commission meeting before retirement

Long-time Franklin County Supervisor of Public works Hubert Chipman has attended his last county commission meeting, at least as a county employee.

Mister Chipman will retire at the end of the month after nearly 35 years of working for Franklin County.

He has served as supervisor of public works since January of 2000.

County commissioners thanked Mister Chipman for his years of service and said they would certainly miss him.

Mister Chipman said he couldn’t have worked for any better people and thanked the people of Franklin County for all of the support they have given him over the years.
