4th,
5th and 6th graders from area elementary schools will face off tomorrow in the
annual Tropicana public speaking contest.
The
contests, which are sponsored by 4-H and the Tropicana Company, allows the
students to speak on any topic they choose for 2 and a half to 3 minutes.
The
speeches are then judged for content and presentation.
Each
elementary school in the county held one of the contests earlier this month.
Tomorrow,
winners from each of the schools will compete in a countywide contest where
they will compete for county acclaim and scholarships to 4-H camp this summer.
The
County wide public speaking contest will be held at 9
o’clock
tomorrow morning at the Franklin county school.
Parents
and other interested members of the public are urged to attend.
