Apalachicola woman critically injured in accident on Bluff Road

            An Apalachicola woman was badly hurt while riding her bicycle on Bluff Road Wednesday night.

The Highway Patrol said 29 year old Dianna Cordes was taken to Bay Memorial Hospital with critical injuries at about 10 o’clock Wednesday night after a collision with a vehicle.

The highway patrol said Miss Cordes was heading north on Bluff Road, close to the white line, with no rear red light.

30 year old Christopher Montgomery was also heading north in a Dodge Dakota and when he realized there was a bicycle on the road attempted to steer left to avoid a collision but still hit the rear tire of the bicycle.

Miss Cordes was thrown from the bike and landed in the northbound shoulder of Bluff Road.
