County commissioners have agreed to allow the
county parks and rec department to hire two part-time summer employees to help
keep local beaches clean during the tourist season.
The county agreed to use allot 7500 dollars in
Tourist development council money to hire two high school students to help
clean bathrooms at county parks through the summer.
The workers will be used at the St. George Island public beach and at Carrabelle beach both of
which are very busy.
Each new hire will work 29 hours a week for 10
dollars an hour.
