5 to compete for Miss Florida Seafood title

5 young ladies will compete this year for the title of Miss Florida Seafood.

The Seafood festival announced the contestants last week - they are Savanah Cook, Samantha Shiver, Ashley Carroll, Aaliyah West and Morgan Martin.

The 5 will compete for the title during the Miss Florida Seafood pageant scheduled for July 27th at the Franklin County School Cafeteria.

Miss Florida Seafood wins a $500.00 scholarship from the seafood festival committee and attends several festival parades in surrounding counties to help promote Franklin County seafood and the Florida Seafood Festival.

The Queen also makes several personal appearances on TV and radio and takes part in a number of seafood festival events including the annual parade and blessing of the fleet.
