Buddy Money named interim sheriff in Liberty County

Governor Rick Scott has appointed Walter Lee “Buddy” Money, Jr. to serve as Liberty County Sheriff on an interim basis.

Mister Money has served as the victim’s advocate with the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office since 2008.

Money temporarily replaces Liberty County Sheriff Nicholas Lee Finch who was arrested by FDLE in June on charges of official misconduct for allegedly destroying or removing official arrest documents from the Liberty County Jail, making it appear as though an arrest never occurred. 

Mister Money’s appointment begins Friday.
