Flood warning remains in effect for the Apalachicola River

A flood warning is in effect for areas along the Apalachicola River including Franklin, Gulf, Calhoun and Liberty Counties.

River levels at Blountstown were near 18 feet on Monday which is about three feet above flood stage for the Apalachicola River.

River levels are expected to remain at that level for the next several days.

There could be some minor flooding along portions of the Apalachicola river and residents along the Ochlocknee, Crooked and New Rivers should also monitor water levels through the week.
