Franklin County Emergency Management seeks Coordinator/ Assistant Director

Franklin County is now looking for a coordinator and assistant director for the Franklin county emergency Management Office.

Emergency Management Director Pam Brownell said that long time coordinator Mike Rundell is leaving the department in the next few weeks.

He has been with emergency management since 2005.

This is a bad time for the department to be short staffed because the most active portion of the hurricane season is just starting, but Miss Brownell said she does have assistance until a new person can be hired.

The position does require some emergency management experience – it is not a starting position.

The starting salary is still being considered by the county commission.
