Local fishing guide makes Florida Sportsman's Top 50 list

            A local fishing guide has made Florida Sportsman’s Top 50 charter captains.

Captain Chris Robinson with Robinson Brothers Guide Service in Apalachicola made the list that includes charter captains from around the country including Alaska and Hawaii and even Costa Rica.

Chris and his brother Tommy formed the guide service in 1996.

He specializes in fly and light tackle for tarpon, redfish and other inshore fish.

Florida Sportsman said they used a number of criteria to come up with the top 50 list including longevity in the business, a talent for catching different species in different circumstances, a commitment to conservation and showmanship.
