Carrabelle to be featured on "American Outdoorsman"

Carrabelle will be on national TV sometime in early 2014.

The American Outdoorsman wrapped up their filming in Carrabelle on Monday.

Jim Mueller, President of American Outdoorsman and his film crew arrived last Friday and kicked off filming with an interview by Secretary of State Ken Detzner.

The two men discussed the resources available to tourist in Florida, the history of the Forgotten Coast and the “Shipwreck Trail” accessible to divers just beneath the surface of Florida’s Gulf waters.

The film crew also took shots around Carrabelle before going fishing.

During the three day shoot, one day was spent gigging flounder in Apalachicola and the last two days were spent 65 miles offshore in 180 foot depths aboard the “Oh Yeah” out of the Moorings at Carrabelle.

The Carrabelle episode will air in first quarter of 2014 and will be syndicated nationally.

The air date of the show has not been announced so you should check outdoorchannel.com for upcoming shows.
