Franklin county will see less tax money than expected this year

Franklin county will be getting a little less tax money than it thought during this budget year.

The Property Appraisers office issued the Certification of Final Taxable Value, and there was a decrease of .16% in property value from the value provided to the county commission when it was preparing its budget.

As a result, the county will collect about 17 thousand dollars less than it had anticipated in ad valorem taxes.
