This
weekend is the third annual Tour of Homes on St. George Island so if you don’t have tickets yet you need to contact the Lighthouse
Gift Shop on the island.
The event will
begin this evening with an opening reception from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Fire Station on East Pine Avenue .
The reception
will include a presentation on the
early history of development on St. George Island by island
resident James Hargrove, author of "The Oyster King."
The home tour
will be held on Saturday, from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.
This year’s tour
will include 7 homes, including one on
the island’s East End , three homes
in the first-platted area of Gulf Beaches, and three homes in the St. George
Plantation.
You will also be able to tour the lighthouse and the Plantation clubhouse.
Tour tickets are
$15.00 in advance, $20 on the day of the tour.
