One of the more well known
anti-tobacco advocates in the country will be in Franklin County on
Thursday to talk to students and the Franklin County school
Board.
Dr. Victor DeNoble was a researcher with Philip Morris Company in the
1980s and became the first whistle-blower against tobacco companies by
testifying before congress in 1994.
Hi testimony played a major role in changing public policy toward tobacco
use and the national tobacco settlement.
He is the subject of the 2011 documentary “Addiction Incorporated.”
He will be in Franklin County
on Thursday, to give presentations to 6-12 th graders at the Franklin
County School 10:00AM and to middle school students at the ABC School at 1:00PM .
Dr. DeNoble will also be doing a brief presentation at the Franklin
County School Board meeting Thursday evening at 6:00PM with the emphasis on K-12 Tobacco-Free School
Grounds and E-cigarettes.
