Controlled Burn
TYNDALL AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. –The 325th Civil Engineer Squadron, Natural Resources Flight, is scheduled to conduct a controlled burn south of U.S. 98 on Tyndall Air Force Base, Feb. 6, between the hours of 4 p.m. and midnight, and Feb. 7, between the hours of midnight. and 9 a.m., weather permitting. The burn will occur west of Research Road, east of the sub-scale aerial target launch ramp and extend to Crooked Island.
            Prescribed fires are necessary to reduce fuels and the potential for wildfires that could impact Tyndall’s mission to “train and project unrivaled combat power.
