Carrabelle History Museum opening exhibit dedicated to salt

The Carrabelle History Museum has a new exhibit starting this week about the history and value of salt.

Displays will explain Florida’s valued mineral importance to the South during the Civil War and highlight the many uses of salt. 

Collections of unique salt shakers will also be on display.

The exhibit will begin with an open house celebration on Wednesday, March the 5th from 1 till 3.

The carrabelle History Museum is located in the former Carrabelle City Hall at 106 SE Avenue B. 

Museum hours are from 10am to 5pm on Thursday, Friday and Saturdays.
