County gets three scoreboards for DW Wilson Park

The County Parks and Recreation Department has found funding for three new scoreboards for the DW Wilson Sports complex in Apalachicola.

Parks and Rec chief Nikki Millender said she was able to find private funding to purchase three electronic, wireless scoreboards.

The funding is coming from Waste Pro, Duke Energy, and Centennial Bank – commissioners agreed to send a letter of appreciation to all three businesses.

Miss Millender said the scoreboards should be installed in time for the 2014 District 4 Dixie Youth baseball tournament which will be held in Franklin county June 13^th through the 16^th.

The new scoreboards should allow the tournament to be held in Apalachicola.
