Franklin County agrees to purchase more land on Eastpoint waterfront

Franklin County has agreed to purchase a small piece of waterfront property in Eastpoint.

The board has agreed to spend about 10 thousand dollars to purchase the property between the Eastpoint Pavilion and Patton Dr. Boat Ramp from Mister David Dale.

County Administrative Director Alan Pierce said the parcel is a wedge with about 60 feet of waterfront and when the county closes on the land then the county will own the entire waterfront for some 350 feet.
