County commission candidate offers reward to help catch vandals

A local county commission candidate is offering a1000 dollar reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons that are vandalizing his political signs.

Bill Snyder, who is running for the District 2 county commission seat, says that since beginning his campaign about 3 months ago he has had his campaign signs painted over, stolen or just cut up and left on the side of the road.

Mister Snyder said that about three weeks ago a dozen of his signs were cut up and left standing.

Just last weekend another 25 signs between Ochlocknee Bay and Summer camp were cut into pieces.

Mister snyder is now offering a 1000 dollar reward for information that can lead to an arrest of the people involved.

If you have information you should contact Bill Snyder at 728-6487 or call the Franklin county Sheriff’s office at 670-8500.

Damaging a political sign in Florida constitutes the crime of Criminal Mischief and removing one entirely is theft.
