The
recreational red snapper season in Gulf state waters closes July 15th.
The season in federal waters was
only 10 days long this year and closed on June the 10th.
The Florida Fish and Wildlife
Conservation Commission has scheduled a series of workshops for late July so
the public can discuss state and federal management of recreational red snapper
and to explore future approaches for managing this fishery.
One of the workshops will be held
on July 31st at 6 PM at the Carrabelle Municipal complex.
