Local fundraiser raises $3000+ for Wounded Warrior Program

The Carrabelle Wounded Warrior Project raised more Than 3000 dollars at a fund-raiser at Harry’s Bar on Saturday.
The Wounded Warrior Project is a national program designed to raise awareness and enlist the public's aid for the needs of injured service members and to provide direct programs and services to meet the needs of injured service members.
The benefit, which was co-sponsored by American legion Post 82 and Harry’s Bar, was even more successful than anticipated and plans are already in the works for next year.
Money was raised through the sale of food as well as a live auction.
Members of Post 82 also sold “Wounded Warrior Supporter” bracelets during the week leading up to the event.

The Legionnaires will continue to make the bracelets available at their booth at the Florida Seafood Festival this weekend.
