Jackel and Parrish named to Apalachee Regional Planning Council

            County Commissioners have named a new representative to the Apalachee Regional Planning Council.
District1 commissioner Pinki Jackel was named as the Franklin County Commission representative.
District 4 Commissioner Smokey Parrish will serve as alternate, though the two commissioners said they will likely share the responsibilities depending on their schedules.
The Council meets 6 times a year.
The Apalachee Regional Planning Council is one of 11 Regional Planning Councils in Florida which act as a bridge between state and local governments and represents areas with similar issues and needs.

The Apalachee Regional Planning Council covers 9 counties including Franklin, Gulf, Liberty and Wakulla Counties.
