January & February in Apalachicola/St. George Island can bring anything from daytime highs of the low to mid 70's to overnight lows in the 30's. Redfish and Speckled Trout are our primary inshore species but as the weather warms Spanish Mackerel move in. Plan to also have shots at Black Drum, Flounder & Sheepshead in the bay and Striped Bass up the river. Capt. Ken Finch just reported in on his trip today - they caught a monster Black Drum in addition to the other fish. Definitely worth spending a mild sunny winter day on the water in either a Flats skiff or a Bay boat. Key West Trips - Tommy & Chris both depart early Sunday morning to head south for the next few months of fishing for Permit, Bonefish and Tarpon. Fly/Flats Fishing this summer - The answer is YES! Capt. Nathan Donahoe has days first 2 weeks of May open - this is an excellent time of year to fish the 120 miles of coastline we cover. Capt. Tommy Robinson has May 15-17 available and Capt. Chris Robinson has May 25 & 26 up for grabs. Want to fish with Nathan May 31-June 2? He also has July 9-12 open.
