Matt Green & girlfriend - 1/6/15 w/David Heinke In answer to recent questions, Yes, we Do fish this time of year! Just picture yourself on the bow of the boat! January & February in Apalachicola/St. George Island can bring anything from daytime highs of the low to mid 70's to overnight lows in the 30's. Redfish and Speckled Trout are our primary inshore species but as the weather warms Spanish Mackerel move in. Plan to also have shots at Black Drum, Flounder & Sheepshead in the bay and Striped Bass up the river. Capt. Ken Finch just reported in on his trip today - they caught a monster Black Drum in addition to the other fish. Definitely worth spending a mild sunny winter day on the water in either a Flats skiff or a Bay boat. March & April we'll see a run of Pompano through here that brings fishermen from all over the southeast. Planning to spend spring break on the Forgotten Coast? Our family friendly guides can help make your trip memorable, so make your reservations early! We're already receiving inquiries and returning anglers are reserving their favorite guides via our website. Our Online Calendar is as up to date as I can make it, so feel free to check out your personal guide's schedule. Key West Trips - Tommy & Chris both depart early Sunday morning to head south for the next few months of fishing for Permit, Bonefish and Tarpon. The majority of their time is booked, however there are a few trips open. February 12-15,March 1, March 13-15, March 19-22 and April 8. Let me know if you can meet us in the Keys! Fly/Flats Fishing this summer - The answer is YES! Capt. Nathan Donahoe has days first 2 weeks of May open - this is an excellent time of year to fish the 120 miles of coastline we cover. Capt.
