Chipley - The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will host a Project Development and Environment (PD&E) Study reevaluation public hearing for State Road (S.R.) 61/S.R. 369 (U.S. 319), Crawfordville Highway from S.R. 30 (U.S. 98) to the Leon County Line, Thursday, February 19, from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. EST at Wakulla One Stop Community Center, Crawfordville Room, 318 Shadeville Road, Crawfordville. A formal presentation will be made at 7 p.m. EST, followed by a public comment period.
This public hearing is being held to give interested persons an opportunity to express their views concerning the location, conceptual design, and the social, economic, and environmental effects of the proposed project. Note that this hearing will primarily address conceptual design and improvements to Crawfordville Highway between East Ivan Road and the Leon County line. The Design Segments are currently funded for design and right-of-way acquisition.
Proposed improvements include the widening of Crawfordville Highway from two to four lanes, installing drainage and storm water treatment ponds, and the design and construction of medians and median openings within the projects’ limits. The proposed improvements will impact the Edward Ball Wakulla Springs State Park property.
Maps, drawings, and other information will be on display, representatives from FDOT will be available to discuss proposed improvements, answer questions, and receive comments. A court reporter will also be present to accept comments.
