Apalachicola Planning and Zoning Board to consider CVS proposal on Monday

The Apalachicola Planning and Zoning board will consider a proposal Monday that could allow for a large CVS Pharmacy in the city.

The board is scheduled to hear a request for permits for the building and for tree removal for a number of lots between 8th & 9th Streets on Highway 98.

The proposal is for a nearly 12 thousand square foot building on lots where the old Amerigas building is.

More lots would be used for parking and for a drive through.

The project would require the city to sell some of its property and to close off part of an alley.

Residents who would like to learn more about the project or comment pro or con can come to the Planning and Zoning board meeting Monday evening – it is open to the public.

The meeting begins at 6 and will be held at the Apalachicola Community Center at Battery Park.
