The Franklin County Emergency Management Office is now
accepting applications for the Residential Construction Mitigation Program.
The
program is funded through a state grant to help Franklin County Residents
mitigate their homes against strong winds.
The
program can help pay for the installation of hurricane resistant windows, doors
and shutters as well as repair roofs or add straps to existing roofs.
The
program is open to Franklin County households with incomes below 120 percent of
the area median and below.
