Carrabelle will hold
its 25th annual Riverfront Festival this weekend.
The theme of this years event is “Pirates of
the Carrabellean” – the festival will focus on local food and include a “Home
Style food court where local groups will sell locally caught and prepared
seafood.
The popular festival runs from 4 till 8 today
and 10 till 6 on Saturday on Marine Street along the Carrabelle River.
Tonight’s activities include live pirate music
from Tom Mason and the Blue Buccaneers from 6 till 8 PM.
The arts and crafts booths will also be open
and the procession of the species will begin at 5:45 at the Carrabelle History
Museum.
Saturday is the big day of the Riverfront
Festival.
There will be plenty of activities – there is
a special area just for kids which includes a pirate school, plus you may want
to bring your dog or iguana with you on Saturday morning for the pet show on
the main stage.
There will be a fishy fashion show at 2 PM and the historic Governor Stone
will also be parked in the river for tours.
Entertainment on Saturday includes Debi
Jordan, The Ferrel Tones, The Common Taters, HJ Kuntry and Tom Mason and the
Blue Buccaneers.
