The Florida State University Coastal & Marine Lab Conservation Lecture Series BEEKEEPING: SO EASY A CAVEMAN CAN DO IT? A presentation by Beekeeper BOB LIVINGSTON Bees play a vital role to our food chain. According to the U.S Department of Agriculture, bees pollinate 80 percent of our flowering crops, which constitute one-third of everything we eat.  Bob will share basic information on honey bees and beekeeping, including the three casts of bees in a beehive, tools of the trade used in beekeeping, diseases & pests, Colony Collapse Disorder, products of the hive and the importance of bees to our food supply, the economy, and the environment.
