Gulf County Sheriff Mike Harrison will host a memorial service on Wednesday, May 13, 2015, to remember the law enforcement officers who lost their lives in the line of duty.
National Police Week will be observed across the United States from Sunday, May 10th through Saturday, May 16th
The public is cordially invited to attend the service, which will take place on the steps of the Gulf County Courthouse at 10:00am EDT. The service is expected to last for approximately twenty minutes. It will include the presentation of the Colors by the Port St. Joe High School NJROTC, the reading of the names of officers who gave their life for the safety and protection of others from the state of Florida for 2014, and a twenty-one gun salute by the Gulf County Sheriff’s Office Honor Guard.

“The sound of bagpipes and taps will be heard as we pay tribute to those who gave their life in service to their community,” said Sheriff Harrison.
