Gulf County Sheriff Mike
Harrison requests the assistance of the public in the identification of an auto
burglary suspect. On Wednesday, May 20, 2015, the Gulf County Sheriff’s Office
responded to a car burglary at the public beach access, west of Port St. Joe,
in Windmark Beach. The suspect forced their way into the vehicle and removed a
purse, which contained the victim’s credit card along with other personal
information.
The victim’s credit card was
used at several retail locations in Gulf and Bay County. An attempt to use the
card was made at a lodging facility in Okaloosa County. Video surveillance
obtained by the Gulf County Sheriff’s Office revealed a white male suspect
driving a gray late ‘90s model Ford Taurus. The vehicle appeared to have a dent
on the front passenger fender and a missing hubcap on the rear wheel of the
driver’s side. Based on video surveillance, the white male is approximately
5’04”, medium build, wears glasses, with short brown hair and a mustache.
