The Gulf County Sheriff’s office will host a memorial service on
Wednesday, May 13th to remember the law enforcement officers who lost their
lives in the line of duty.
The event is part of
National Police Week which is being observed across the United States this
week.
The public is invited
to attend the service, which will take place on the steps of the Gulf County
Courthouse at 10:00am.
The service is
expected to last for approximately twenty minutes.
It will include the
presentation of the Colors by the Port St. Joe High School NJROTC, the reading
of the names of officers who gave their life for the safety and protection of
others from the state of Florida for 2014, and a twenty-one gun salute by the
Gulf County Sheriff’s Office Honor Guard.
