Red tide found in water off Franklin County

Karenia brevis, the Florida red tide organism, was detected in background concentrations in one sample collected inshore of Bay County and in one sample collected alongshore of Franklin County in northwest Florida this week

Additional samples collected throughout Florida this week did not contain K. brevis.
